Dear David,

You will recall that you were the Minister responsible for closing Bilston Community College in 1999.

You will know that the charges made against the College of fraud, vast debts, and inefficiency (the worst college in the country), have all been shown to be false

The Learning & Skills Council have admitted this by taking upon itself the high risk task of suing the auditors, Deloitte and Touche.

You will also know that the latest minister to try to justify the closure of Bilston Community College is Margaret Hodge. But by replying to the FRIENDS she has opened a dialogue and shown openness to reconsidering that decision.

Under these circumstances we feel sure that you will wish to change your mind and help free all those involved from the charge of Institutional Racism for closing the most important college in Britain for the provision of ethnic minority education

Further positive effects will include:

• Demonstrating that the government is renouncing the spinnery and trickery which is eating away at its support in the country.
• Demonstrating to ethnic minority people that the government is genuinely prepared to empower them in creating our new multicultural society.
• Have an immense influence on combating Institutional Racists in Britain
• Assist Europe in combating xenophobes and the neo-fascist Right.
